Stamford’s Science Department
The goals of our science department are to:
- Improve Understanding of Scientific Concepts in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science
- Strengthen scientific inquiry and skill development by integrating problem solving, critical thinking and modelling skills
- Support literacy, numeracy, and communication in science
- Integrate technology and digital tools like simulations, data collection, and coding
- Promote environmental and climate literacy so students can become stewards and engaging citizens in their own communities
- Provide inclusive, accessible and diverse instruction
- Embed indigenous and cultural perspectives to build respectful relationships with all members of the community
