Multimedia is the most broad based of the communications courses that are offered. Students explore elements of both Photography and Video with an emphasis on Animation both 2D and 3D. A variety of Industry leading software is used. These include Adobe Flash and PhotoShop, 3D Studio Max and Final Cut Pro.
The course focuses on getting students ready for the future, whether it be enabling them to do interactive presentations when they enter the work force, encouraging their general media literacy or preparing them for post secondary education by giving them a solid background in the discipline of their choice and by preparing portfolios needed to get into some courses.
Returning students always comment on how easy the first year at post secondary is because of what they have learned through Stamford Communication Courses.
A solid background in computers is not a prerequisite in Multimedia because each student is assessed and their course work is determined by both their skills that they bring in as well as their aspirations.
